Common Printer Problems

When the printer should work, but does not.

New printer setup

Connect a compatible printer to Wi-Fi, install the correct software or app, add it to computers and phones, and test printing and scanning.

Printer offline

Check the network connection, device settings, print queue, software, drivers, and other common causes of a printer disappearing or showing offline.

Wireless printing problems

Help when one device prints but another cannot, the printer keeps dropping off Wi-Fi, or a phone or laptop cannot find it.

Scanner setup

Set up compatible scanning software, test scan-to-computer workflows, and make sure you know where scanned files are going.

Replacement or upgrade help

If the current printer is no longer worth fighting with, I can help you identify the features you actually need before you buy another one.

Home-office printing

Organize a practical setup for multiple computers, phones, shared printers, scanning, and everyday document workflows.

Before the Appointment

A few details can save time.

If you can, have the printer model, the device you are trying to print from, and access to your home Wi-Fi available. If there is an error message, a photo or screenshot helps. Do not worry if you do not know the model or password yet; we can start with what you have.

Untrained Momentum provides consumer technology setup and troubleshooting. Hardware repair, electrical work, internal printer repair, and manufacturer warranty work are not included.

Printer Help FAQ

Quick answers.

Can you help with HP, Canon, Epson or Brother printers?

I can troubleshoot common consumer printer setup and connectivity issues across major brands. What can be fixed depends on the specific printer, device compatibility, software and hardware condition.

Can printer problems be handled remotely?

Some can. If the printer is powered on and reachable from the computer, software, driver, account and setting issues may be possible to handle remotely. Physical network or hardware issues may need an on-site visit.

Do you repair broken printer hardware?

No. I focus on technology setup, configuration and troubleshooting rather than internal printer hardware repair.
